In this video, we tackle an LG washing machine without a control dial, specifically model number F14U1 and its variations. To enter test mode, press the on-off button and within one second, press the other two buttons displayed on the screen. This leads you into diagnostic mode, where the machine examines all the LEDs and the door lock. A DE error code would appear if there were a fault. The software used in this program is also displayed.
By pressing the start button, you advance to the first test: pump and clockwise rotation at 45 rpm. Test 2 assesses 50% of motor capacity, typically around 600 rpm. Test 3 evaluates 100% motor power, reaching 1400 rpm in this machine. Test 4 requires understanding the pressure switch's frequency levels, which relay information to the program. For this machine, it operates between parameters 255 (empty drum) and 229 (maximum water level).
Test 4 activates the pre-wash water valve, while test 5 activates the main wash water valve. Step 6 concerns an additional valve if present but usually continues with the main wash water valve activated. This may proceed until the maximum water level is reached; however, advancing to step 7 necessitates doing so before full fill or reaching a value of 229.
Test 7 involves the recirculation pump test, which must be activated before reaching a value of 229. Test 8 sees anti-clockwise rotation at 45 rpm. Test 9 examines the heating system and NTC sensor, displaying the water temperature for a brief period. With appropriate test instrumentation, you can quickly detect activation and deactivation.
Test 10 empties the drum until reaching a frequency value of 255, signaling that the machine is devoid of water. Pressing the start button during test 10 switches off the machine and resets it for normal use.
