CHEMISTRY - Secondary 1
In This part we will study
Solutions
Their components can't be distinguished by the naked eye or electron microscope.
Examples
- Table salt solution in water.
- Cane - sugar solution in water.
- Cobalt (II) chloride solution in water.
Colloids
Their components can
be distinguished by the electron microscope only.
Examples
-Aerosols.
- Hair gel.
- Mayonnaise emulsion.
- Blood.
- Milk.
Suspensions
Their components can be distinguished by the naked eye.
Examples
- Table salt in kerosene.
- Cane- sugar in kerosene.
- Cobalt (II) chloride in
kerosene.
- Oil in water.
Homogeneous mixtures
Solutions: If you add a small quantity of a substance (as sugar) to a large amount of another substance (as water) and disappears in it.
