In This Lesson:
1. Synchronous communication:
It's the exchange of files and information between people at the same time through different digital tools, and various types
such as :
( Instant video chats - TV Live programs, instant chat rooms ).
► Real-time
► Instant responses
► Live exchange of information or files
► Examples (video chats, live television shows, instant chat rooms)
Synchronous tools
 Video chat:- Allows you to communicate directly with one or more people via your computer.

Tools you need : a device with a camera and speakers; And an application to access a video chatting program.


 Instant messaging (IM ):
• Allows you to send messages using the Internet.
• Messages may include texts only or you can add images or video clips

Tools you need: Downloading an instant messaging program on your
computer or a mobile application.

 Chat rooms: It's where a group of people communicate with each other, and chat as a discussion group, using video cameras or microphones.

Tools you need : a device with a camera and speakers, and an application to access a chat room.
2. Asynchronous communication:
It means sending files and information between two or more people without the necessity of their presence at the same time.
Through various digital tools and resources such as (sending an e-mail file - recorded educational programs)
► No instant response required
► Transferring data between two or more not necessarily at the same time
► Examples (sending a file via email, recorded educational programs)

Asynchronous tools
 E-mail
• It's one of the oldest methods of social communication, which you can send and receive electronic messages.
• It's a way of communication used in government agencies, companies, and others.
• It could be useful at the educational process, for example:
You can discuss a study material with your colleagues or your teachers.

Tools you need: a device connected to the internet, an email Via website that provide e-mail service such as (Google mail, Yahoo mail, etc.)

 Uploading files:
• You can share your files on a various website whenever you want, and it's allowed for the others to download it:
when they're online.
Tools you need: just a device connected to the internet.
