In This Lesson:

▌A suitable design can help make presentations engaging and visually appealing.

An example of PowerPoint and its useful features.
▌Microsoft PowerPoint is used to create presentations to communicate
opinions and ideas.
▌It has easy-to-use tools to help make material visually appealing to interest
viewers.

• Drawing and writing tools : are used to create text.
• Animation options : add movement to sentences and words on your slides .

Tools for creating a presentation.

Save As - PDF option: Save your presentation as a PDF file before printing to keep its formatting.
File tab - Print: See a final preview of your flyer and click Print.
Design tab - Slide Size: Choose the size of your slide. You can choose Standard or Widescreen.
▌PowerPoint also gives you the option of customizing your own slide size.

Design tab - Themes and Variants: These creation tools help you to
choose a style for your presentation, including design and text placement.

Edit in Review mode: Review your presentation. Are there any text errors or
issues with the layout?

Insert tab - Pictures: Add pictures to your presentation to help get your
message across.

• Insert tab - Text box: It's time to write your message! Use the Text Box to
carefully craft your message.


Remember : the 10-20-30 rule when it comes to text size! A PowerPoint presentation shouldn't be more than 10 slides, longer than 20 minutes and use fonts smaller than 30 point size. You can also use SmartArt but make sure it's easy to read.
