الفصل الأول: مقدمة للفحوص الخاصة من صفحة 7
Introduction To Special Technique
Special techniques are used to examine special systems that cannot be visualized by conventional examinations (plain x ray), using contrast media.
AIM OF THE COURSE :-
by the end of this course , the student should be able :
1. To achieve good understanding of the basic principles of radiological techniques.
2. To provide essential knowledge and skills needed to perform different radiological procedures.
3. To learn how to do different radiological procedures with high quality fulfilling the criteria of good quality radiograph.
4. To have the basic principles of special techniques 5. To learn how to do special techniques of different organs.
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING ;
by the end of this course , the student should be able :
1. To recognize the principles of the basic imaging techniques used for conventional x- ray studies.
2. To describe basic techniques for plain X – ray studies for different parts of the body e.g. chest , spine , extremities …etc.
3. To describe special techniques of different organs
4. To describe types of contrast media used for imaging of the GIT, Genitourinary systems and the vascular system.
5. To describe advantage and complications of contrast media.
6. To describe functions, responsibilities of technical work in the x ray department.
Professional and practical skills :
by the end of this course , the student should be able :
1. To prepare the patient for plain x ray of the abdomen and urinary tract
2. To prepare the patient for special techniques of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) and the genitourinary tract.
3. To perform the different plain x ray technique of the abdomen and urinary tract.
4. To perform different special techniques of the GIT and genitourinary tract.
5. To perform mammographic study of the breast.
6. To use comprehensive knowledge to improve the quality of the x - ray picture.
7. To apply the principles of x ray techniques to have good radiographs.
